Hippy Market
The popular 'Hippy' Market in Las Dalias is held every Saturday and is attended by thousands of people, especially between 1 May and 31 October.
They sell Adlib clothing, jewellery, sandalwood, exotic musical instruments, ethnic music CDs, jewellery, decorative fabrics, statuettes, Indian antiques, sarongs, books and much more. In the market there is also a restaurant and other places where you can taste natural juices or Arab cakes.
The Dalias hall, which has been the scene of legendary concerts, continues to be the meeting point for artists from all over the island and on Friday nights, during the summer months, painters and sculptors exhibit their works to the public in an open-air space. The indoor area of the market is also open to the public at Christmas, with furniture, gifts, crafts and fashion.
Taxis have a stop at this market. There is also a bus line from Santa Eulària to Sant Carles, but there are few buses during the day, and they are usually very full. Tour operators and even many hotels offer trips to the market. The most common system to go there is the private car. There are three parking areas for visitors. Two of them are private lots and have a price for parking, while behind Las Dalias there is another area that is free.
In the town of Sant Carles, despite the fact that the banks are closed on Saturdays, you will be able to find cash machines; there are also many cash machines in Santa Eulària.
