The municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Ibizan people. The urban centres that make up this municipality are small rural villages that have kept their culture and folklore alive, with a special interest.

The preservation of the environment, the cultivation of the fields, the promotion of cultural and heritage values and the conservation of traditional Ibizan architecture, show the appreciation of this municipality for its own culture.

Thus, in addition to the unique attractions of the surroundings of this town, there are others that faithfully reflect pieces of its history such as the patron saint's celebrations of each of its parishes, the dances at wells and fountains, the procession of "pasos" (floats) on Maundy Thursday or the seafaring festival in honour of the Virgen del Carmen.

Witnesses to this defence of the indigenous are also its current architectural constructions in churches, wells and fountains, rural houses or defence towers.

Folklore also plays a special role and is therefore one of the key dates in the municipality that travels back in time to the sounds of the music of the pagan dance.
